Sinopsis:

Mei Tachibana en sus 16 años no ha tenido novio ni amigo verdadero, además de ser burla de sus compañeros de clase. Un día, por culpa de una broma termina dándole una patada a Yamato Kurosawa, un chico todo lo contrario de Mei; popular y con amigos.

Por alguna extraña razón eso le llama la atención de Yamato e intenta volverse amigo de Mei. La chica al principio no lo acepta, hasta que una noche se encuentra en problemas con un acosador y al único que puede llamar es a Yamato, este va en su ayuda corriendo, salvándola con un beso.
